Fatal suede (colour litho)

Fatal chamois. Pushing into the Tur valley, at the foot of the Rocciamelone, the young hunter Sergio Bossera from Chianocco di Bussoleno (Susa) saw a marmot; I shot; the rifle burst in his hands, blinding him. A singular circumstance, just at that point there was an old chamois, now legendary in the valley, whose appearance always seems to coincide with serious misfortunes. It would be Gigio, a chamois who many years ago had escaped from the stable of a mountain man who had captured him small after killing his mother. Illustration for Courier Sunday, 28 October 1956.
