The regiment’s field dress consisted of khaki shirt, shorts, jersey and puttees and a round kilmarnock cap. The two NCOs on the left of this picture also wear blue Zouave style jackets. These were normally worn as part of their parade uniform. From a collection of 41 lantern slides, collected between 1907-1911, by Lieutenant H R S Massy, Royal Artillery, attached to the Northern Nigeria Regiment, West African Frontier Force.
