Finnsnes 19530117. Northern Norway's first fishing gear factory was placed at Finnsnes in Troms. A/S Fishermen's tool factory is the most modern factory that creates the textile side of fishing gear production. The operation started in 1950 with a workforce of 150 women and men, with the women in the majority. The fishermen get everything they need from the company when it comes to the textile -composed part, ie yarn, nuts of different kinds, liner and ropes of all dimensions.
