Kinderspielplatz. Das schnelle Anwachsen der Stadte und der mit zunehmendem Verkehr gefahrlicher werdende Aufenthalt auf der Strasse fuhrte die Stadtverwaltung zum Anlegen von Kinderspielplatzen in Parks und offentlichen Anlagen. Um die Mitte des vorigen Jahrh waren diese uns heute selbstverstandlich gewordenen Spielplatze mit Sandhaufen und Planschbecken noch eine Seltenheit. Translation: Children's Playground. The rapid growth of the cities and the fact that being on the streets became more dangerous with increasing traffic led the city administration to create children's playgrounds in parks and public facilities.
