Hausorgelmusik. Die Hausorgel gehorte im Mittelalter, besonders in Deutschland, zu den bevorzugten Instrumenten zur Pflege geistlicher Hausmusik, etwa wie heute in manchen Familien neben dem Klavier noch das Harmonium. Sie war ziemlich klein und transportabel (auch Portatif genannt) und erreichte naturlich nicht die Klangfulle der grossen Kirchenorgeln der Barockzeit. Translation: House Organ Music. In the Middle Ages, especially in Germany, the house organ was one of the preferred instruments for cultivating spiritual house music, just like today in some families the harmonium alongside the piano. It was quite small and portable (also called portatif) and of course did not reach the sonority of the large church organs of the Baroque period.
