Celebration of the 21st anniversary of the March on Rome in Berlin, 1943

On October 28, 1943, the 21st anniversary of the March on Rome, the Fascio of Berlin held a ceremony in the Kuppelsaal of the Reichssportfeld (today's Sportpark Berlin Kuppelsaal on the Olympic grounds). The picture shows (from left to right) State Secretary Wilhelm Keppler, Reich Organization Director Robert Ley, Ambassador Filippo Anfuso raising their hands in the Hitler salute and Roman salute respectively, while the national anthems of Germany and Italy were played to conclude the event. Also present was General Aldo Princivalle (back right, half cut off). The Italian representatives were part of the Italian Social Republic, which had been in existence since September.
