In the upper part of the image stands out the Presentation at the temple of little Mary, faced backwards, taken while going up the staircase heading to the altar; the old priest greets her holding her arms softly, under Joachim's and Anna's eyes, father and mother of the Virgin, standing up on the left in a devote, trepidatious mood; on the background, an arch passage overlooks a country landscape; in the inferior part, can be seen three squares with the half-length portraits of three Bible's characters likewise, portrayed in niches: Josafat, David and Salomon Church of San Francesco
