MP. A half-length portrait of a woman, turned to the left, gazing to the left, in white dress with blue ribbons at neck, sleeve and cuff, her hair dressed high and covered with a black mantilla which she holds to her breast with her left hand. A handwritten note inserted behind the stretcher reads, Jean Conyngham (formerly Hamilton) m Col. William Conyngham (1723-1784) 31.8.1775.
