Visitors to Sydney's Museum of Contemporary Art June 30, 2003 look at a pair of photographs that show New York World Trade Center's excavation site known as 'Ground Zero' during an exhibition titled 'Pictures from the Surface of the Earth' by noted German film director Wim Wenders. The exhibition shows many of the images Wender's recorded when he visited New York shortly after September 11, 2001, but also includes the many images that Wender's has taken during his travels throughout the world and the many landscapes he has experienced.
