Security try to protect Vojislav Kostunica, Yugoslav opposition presidential candidate during his speech in Kosovska Mitrovica September 14, 2000. Supporters of Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic attacked a convoy of cars carrying his main challenger for presidential elections this month and other opposition activists, seriously damaging one vehicle. Kostunica, surrounded by bodyguards, fought his way through the crowd and climbed onto the stage with his supporters. Two groups of Socialist party supporters in the crowd then threw plastic bottles, cans and stones at them. IM/CRB
