Image description

Male nude. At about 1646 Rembrandt dedicated himself to the zealous study of the human body, and a lot of male and female nudes, owe its origin to this effort. We find especially a young man of slender stature and delicate body structure as recurrent model. They carry all the character of pen and ink drawings executed by brush in Bister or ink or both.
