Cuban President Fidel Castro (R) presides over a $500-a-plate dinner held by state cigar export company Habanos S.A. to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of the company's Cohiba brand, February 28 in Havana's Tropicana nightclub. Several humidors containing Cohibas, considered by many as the best cigar you can get, were sold at auction, including one belonging to Castro that went for $49,000 dollars. A humidor (L) designed by Ecuadoran artist Osvado Guayasamin (second from R, in black shirt) is shown to bidders by a model and the auctioneer.
