Dino BUZZATI (16 October 1906 - 28 January 1972) writer, journalist, narrator, chronicler and painter. Among the greatest Italian exponents of fantastic fiction. Collaborator of the "Corriere della Sera" from a young age in various roles, from "black" reporter to deputy director of the "Domenica del Corriere". Among his most famous and emblematic novels is "The Desert of the Tartars" (1940) from which some film adaptations were taken and which inspired several artists in various disciplines.
