Yoga festival, 1971 (16mm negative, scan 2K/Sound)

Location: Montreal, Canada Creator: Luciano Martinengo Report on the great yoga gathering that took place in Canada in 1971 and which saw the turnout and presence of thousands of young people from all over North America. Wait in the hills north of Montreal, the young people participated in a meeting lived as a very intense community experience and for some of a mystical type, to exchange their experiences existential values aimed at seeking individual values other than those of money and consumerism to which they were educated. The festival itself proposes profound contradictions; yogis, meditation, Indian music are mixed with typical aspects of consumer society; cameras, photographers, radio antennas, helicopters. Presented at the State Awards in the fourth quarter of 1974.
