A clean-up crew removes debris from the scene where Maoist Shining Path guerillas detonated a car bomb outside a police station in Lima, May 15. The guerillas, who had earlier promised to turn this month into "Bloody May," fought with police and then set off 88 pounds (40 kgs) of dynamite from a van that pulled up in front of the station. At least eight officers were wounded.
