Turkish gendarmes lead a group of illegal immigrants across a snow covered field during a re-enactment January 15, 2001, of the raid which captured them while attempting to cross the border near the western Turkish city of Edirne on January 14, 2001. Nearly 36 migrants from mostly Palestine, Iraq, Iran, India and Bangladesh were captured in a deserted building before attempting to cross the Turkish-Greek border.
