Portraits of Princess Mary (1631-1660) and James, Duke of York (1633-1701), as children, the former in a blue satin dress with a white pinafore, the latter in a gold dress with a white pinafore, with two dogs, standing on a carpet with a pillar in the background. The fruit still life may be the work of Andreas van der Mijn. In a George II carved and gilded Palladian frame, the eared corners at the top supporting festoons of husks; the egg-and-dart outer embellished with Vitruvian scroll and an acanthus clasp at the base-rail Based on designs by Henry Flitcroft.
