Shoulder title, 20th Burma Rifles, 1922-1937. Blackened brass badge in the form of the unit’s number and initials, ‘20BR’. The 20th Burma Rifles were formed in 1922 from the amalgamation of the 70th Burma Rifles and the 85th Burman Rifles, both units having been formed during World War One (1914-1918). In 1937, with the separation of Burma from India, the Regiment became the Burma Rifles. From the Field Marshal Sir John Chapple Indian Army Collection.
