Pair of boots worn by Second Lieutenant C P Galindez, Buckinghamshire (Royal Bucks Hussars) Yeomanry, 1915 circa. Galindez is said to have worn these boots at Suvla Bay, Gallipoli, in 1915. Only officers wore tall boots as they purchased their own uniform. Other ranks’ wore standard issue putees with ankle-high boots.
