Image description

Egyptian Army haversack, 1956. Although Egypt was attempting to modernise her army, this poorly finished webbing equipment was carried by most of the nations’ troops. It was picked up by Captain John Harper-Nelson of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders at Suez during the Anglo-French invasion of 1956.
