Photograph by Major Wilfred Herbert James Sale, MC, 3rd/4th County of London Yeomanry (Sharpshooters), World War Two, North West Europe, 1945. Although detachments of 3rd/4th County of London Yeomanry had crossed the Elbe on 30 April the majority of the regiment crossed on 3 May 1945 via a Class 40 Bridge that had been erected by the divisional engineers. From an album containing 198 photographs compiled by Major W H J Sale, MC, 3rd/4th County of London Yeomanry (Sharpshooters).
