Autograph: Journal of Sir Walter Ralegh's second voyage to Guyana, extending from 19 August 1617, when he sailed from Cork, to 13 February 1618. The page r contains entries from 29 October to 13 November, including the time during which he was disabled by fever. From this causes no entries were made between 30 October and 11 November, and a marked difference in the handwriting shows where he resumed his journal on his recovery.
English aristocrat, writer, poet, soldier, courtier, spy, and explorer, c. 1554 29 October 1618. Source: British Museum.
