The first bride in Italy. In Merano, at the conclusion of a competition in which 350,000 candidates participated, representatives of all the cities and villages of the peninsula, the first bride of Italy was elected. The highest prize was awarded to Silvana Cantono Bertacca from Liguria. Here she is, next to her blind husband, she receives the fortress of gold and the treasure chest with tokens from the hands of Vittorio Necchi, to whom the initiative is due.
