Four Days Without a Head (Colour Litho)

Four days without a head. For the lunch of the Epiphany, Mr Gilcrease of St. Anthony of Texas, I sacrifice three chickens by beheading them and leaving them in the cellar to frown. When his wife went to get them, I find one still alive. I talk to the neighbors about the strange case, no one wanted to believe her. Then I'll take the victim out to the yard for everyone to see her. The chicken, more lively than ever, despite being without a head, for four days continue to walk in circles; and someone put a rather cruel sign on a pole, Please do not feed it.
