CGT Delegation to the Ministry of Labour - led by Madeleine Colin (right) - October 1969 At the 30th Congress of the Union in June 1955, she was elected to the Confíd Bureau of the CGT. She is responsible for trade union policy towards women. She set up a monthly trade union body for women: Antoinette. Over the years, this journal became a widely distributed body within companies, approaching women's issues from innovative angles. Madeleine Colin left the confederal office in November 1969. She remained director of Antoinette until 1975: the CGT's f¿minin magazine was, at the threshold of the 1970s, in line with the demands of the women's movement. In this area, it was ahead of a slower evolution of the CGT as a whole. Christiane Gilles succeeded him and continued the impetus given by Madeleine Colin to the newspaper and the women's sector of the Central Union.
