A three-quarter-length portrait, standing against a dark background. She has short, upswept brown hair. She wears a low cut black gown with three-quarter-length sleeves, edged at neckline and elbows with matching frill. A bow is held at the centre of the bodice with a diamond and sapphire brooch. Three deep red roses are pinned on the left side of the bow. A gold wedding ring and a solitaire diamond ring are on her left hand; her right hand holds a fan.
