THREE FRENCH TAXPAYERS SEEN AT COURTHOUSE, 1997-07-16 (photo)

Bombi, Ferrua, and Boissis are three of six French taxpayers who refer the case to the court concerning false prefectoral stamps. The stamps were seized by police at the Frejus town hall on July 16, 1997 during a preliminary investigation of debts accumulated during the construction of the Port of Frejus project. Francois Leotard, president of the conservative UDF political party was mayor of Frejus until stepping down last September. FRANCE JUSTICE
