Spanish girls whose white clothes are dyed from yellow powder thrown earlier, dance a waltz down the middle of a street as a band's music fills the narrow streets in the old city July 6 as hundreds of thousands of revelers begin the famed week-long fiesta of San Fermin with much drinking. Ernest Hemingway made the centuries-old fiesta internationally known outside Spain with his novel "The Sun Also Rises" written in the 1920's, and tens of thousands of foreigners join the local Pamplonicos for the round-the-clock street party as well as to experience the running of the bulls which takes place each morning of fiesta.
