Psalm 31; St Apollonia

Psalm 31 beginning with initial 'B', entwined oak leaves, which are part of the oak tree that decorates the outer margin. A man in an acorn-shaped hat clambers in the branches to shake down acorns for the pigs below. In the upper margin, a grotesque with mask-like face and long horns devours a bird; and below it, another with bird body, foliate tail, and human head is wearing a fur trimmed hood. In the lower margin, St Apollonia holds a string of teeth resembling a rosary, a reference to her martyrdom Image taken from Luttrell Psalter.
