Oslo 1978-12-08: Volvo agreement. The agreement went out on Norwegian partial ownership in the Swedish Volvo Group, while Volvo was to have block shares in the Norwegian oil sector. However, the agreement later went in the sink, more specifically January 1979. It was the Swedish shareholders in Volvo who put an end to the cooperation - the majority wanted no Norwegian interference in the Swedish company.
