FOR USE WITH STORY NICARAGUA MITCH - Nicaraguan mudslide survivor Freddy Gutierrez, who lost most of his family under the mudslide which buried his home town of Rolando Rodriguez, stands before a cross at a center for evacuees October 25. The towns around the Casitas volcano in the municipality of Posoltega, 120 west of Managua, became the strongest symbol of the devastation wrought on Central America by Hurricane Mitch exactly one year ago. Over 3000 people died throughout Nicaragua, and more than 2000 under this mudslide due to the torrential rain the enormous hurricane brought to Nicaragua. AW/RC
