Israel - Al-Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount

The Al-Aqsa Mosque is considered the third most important mosque in the world after the Al-Masjid Al-Haram Mosque with the Kaaba in Mecca and the Prophet's Mosque with the grave of the Prophet Muhammad in Medina. It was built from 706 to 717; Jewish radicals want to re-erect the second Jewish temple, which once stood on the location of the Temple Mount and the Al-Aqsa Mosque, even if this would mean that the both buildings would have to be torn down. Non-Muslims are only allowed to enter the Al-Aqsa Mosque with a special permission. \n\rJerusalem is a holy city to all three monotheistic religions; Jews, Muslims, and Christians have some of their sanctuaries here.
