They delivered, along with others, a protest letter for Home Secretary, Jack Straw decided that former Chilean dictator General Augusto Pinochet might escape extradition to Spain due to ill health and because of Straw's refusal to make public Pinochet's medical reports. The ailing 84-year-old Pinochet stands accused of torture dating from his rule, during which thousands of people either died or disappeared in his war on suspect leftists. CD
