CHINESE LABOURERS OFFER THEIR SERVICE TO A GROUP OF NEWLY-ARRIVED CHINESE SOLDIERS AT THE CHAOTIANMEN PORT ALONG THE YANGTZE RIVER IN DOWNTOWN CHONGQING. Chinese labourers offer their service to a group of newly-arrived Chinese soldiers at the Chaotianmen Port along the Yangtze River in downtown Chongqing, capital of Sichuan province, December 5, 2000. More than 100,000 people, most of them migrant workers and peasants from southern China, are working in Chongqing as movers or "Stick Army" called by the locals. A mover earns between 10 to 20 yuan ($1.2 to $2.4) a day. Sichuan province has the largest floating population in China.
