ARIZONA AIR GUARD KEEP WATCH AS WIVES HUG AS HUSBAND LEAVE PHOENIX, 1999-05-05 (photo)

Wives of the crew chiefs of the first KC-135 Stratotanker from the 161st Air Refueling Wing of the Arizona Air National Guard console each other before their husbands leave for their mission in support of Operation Allied Force May 4. Their husbands were in the group of approximately 80 troops who were the first of 225 Arizona Guard members leaving this week for the conflict in Yugoslavia. Guard members and their families could not be identified because of threats called into other bases around the country since the conflict in Yugoslavia began. JT/RC
