Ahmed Abu Zahr, the Egyption leader of a the team from the International Atomic Energy Agency, arrives in Baghdad January 21. Abu Zahr heads a five-member team of United Nations inspectors which arrived to carry out a routine inspection of Iraq's nuclear power and research plants. The inspection is being conducted by the Vienna-based Internatinal Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the U.N. agency that monitors the peaceful use of nuclear energy under the 1968 Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, to which Iraq is a signatory. The visit is not related to U.N. Security Council demands for inspections of suspected sites of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. FK/JDP
