A pleasure house or the attitudes of smokers. Caricature, which mocks the habits of the rich and famous, smoking tobacco was prohibited in some neighborhoods in the 18th century, however, the production of tobacco on slave plantations in North America and the sale of their produce in Europe was a huge source of income for the British economy. On the right, Lord Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) and his mistress Emma Hamilton (1765-1815) talk through nautical and obscene references from Emma's aged husband.
