The End of the Brigandess (Colour Litho)

The end of the brigandessa. The beautiful and fierce Putli who in recent years, at the head of a gang of raiders, had terrorized the province of Gwalior (central India), was killed in a clash with the police, near Chati, in the south of Delhi. Putli (her name means doll) was a dancer; she went to brigandage in 1951 for the love of the bandit Gujar who had kidnapped her. He died, had taken command of the formation.
