The drama of frost. Southern Italy was also involved in the exceptional cold wave that hit Europe, snow, ice, blocked roads, isolated countries for long days. In the drawing, the dramatic case of the six-year-old boy Giuseppe Viccioni, who fell ill in the mountain hamlet of Vallelunga, in Caserta. Lacking a doctor, the parents transported the child on the back of a mule, to Gallo Matese, along an impervious mule track covered by over a meter of snow, and under the raging of the storm, ten hours to make a nine-kilometer journey.
