The Dancer Struck by the Train (Colour Litho)

Image description: The dancer cut off by the train. In this drawing, the painter Walter Molino symbolically wanted to summarize the cruel drama of the young Anna Marinai who, overwhelmed by a maneuvering locomotive, lost her legs. The poor woman, several times winner of the world dance championships for professionals, formed with her boyfriend, maestro Carlo Carenni, the best Italian dance couple. The misfortune happened at the Greco Milanese station as Anna crossed the tracks to return as soon as possible to her family, who lived in the station building itself.
