Swallow fishing (colour litho)

Swallow fishing. On the banks of a stream that throws itself into the Sarca, a fisherman from Dro (Trentino) was sinking the bait in the waters when a swallow took it to the fly and went away; but by little that, held by the hook that had stuck in her beak, was going to get caught in the wires of the telegraph. The fisherman, taken as pity for the fate of the poor beast, climbed on the pole, managed to reach it with difficult maneuver and remove the hook that held her captive from her mouth.
