Pigs in the bath (colour litho)

Pigs in the bathroom. A truck, on which one hundred small pigs travel on their way to the slaughterhouse, near Magenta (Milan), crosses another truck just at a point where the road is just over four meters wide. The collision between the two vehicles is very violent. The first, the one loaded with pigs, thrown down the escarpment, remains in the balance a few centimeters from the water; but the hundred rosy passengers are catapulted into the Naviglio. Three suns perish when drowned; the others are painstakingly rescued. No casualties among men. Illustration for Courier Sunday, 6 May 1956.
