Italian mountaineers in the Tuareg kingdom (colour litho)

Italian mountaineers in the Tuareg kingdom. Five young climbers, Paolo Grunanger, Lorenzo Marimonti, Pietro Meciani, Lodovico Gaetani and Giorgio Gualco, make up the expedition organized under the patronage of the Milan section of the Alpine Club Italian, they have reached Tamanrasset, in the Hoggar. From here with a caravan of camels, they went to the Tahalra, in a mountainous region completely unknown to Europeans. During the exploration, the climbers won seven virgin peaks in very difficult routes and made interesting topographic surveys. Illustration for Courier Sunday, 3 February 1957.
