And she was saved. The student Maria Luisa Garavelli, who got on the train bound for Valenza, the city where she resides, had leaned against the door of a car. Suddenly, as the convoy was launched at full speed, the door opened wide and the girl fell into the void. Having the train stopped, many came to the aid of Garavelli who was lying along the escarpment. In a miraculous case it had not been crushed by the wheels of the wagons.
