A family destroyed by the train. In a very serious disaster that occurred in Menton (Côte d'Azur), Mr. Ulisse Spaggiari, his wife, his 5-year-old daughter, mother and mother-in-law found death. The car, piloted by Spaggiari, was going through an open level crossing when it was hit and overwhelmed by a traveling railcar at over a hundred kilometers per hour. Responsible for the terrible tragedy is the toll booth who, having not heard the ring tone that announced the arrival of the convoy, did not promptly lower the passage bars.
