An Art Deco Mother-of-Pearl and Gem-set Clock by Marchak The rectangular dyed mother-of-pearl case enclosing a gilt brass timepiece movement with bimetallic balance to the platform lever escapement, depicting Chinese landscapes with a dragon to the dial and undulated hands, within a black lacquer frame, applied red enamel Chinese characters and rose-cut diamond detail, carved figures to the top and red enamel graduated sides all to the hardstone base, circa 1928, with French assay and maker's marks, 10.0 cm high With maker's mark for Verger Frres Signed Linzeler & Marshak, No's 9106 and 55633 With mark JTC
