York House, Twickenham, 1807. Built for the York family and owned by Count Stahremberg in 1807. Large neo-classical villa with a pedimented entrance and an arcade extending to left, seen from a field with a wall and a picket fence and two gardeners. Copperplate drawn and engraved by James Peller Malcolm from his Anecdotes of the Manners and Customs of London during the 18th Century, Longman, Hurst, London, 1808. Malcolm (1767-1815) was an American-English topographer and engraver, Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries.
