Creator: Martin Lewis The most challenging planets, Mercury, Uranus & Neptune, all used IR imaging to reveal surface details & have been colourised to match their more normal visual appearance. A UV filter is used to image Venus's clouds & this is shown in greyscale- again to match its normal visual colouration. Born digital photograph entitled 'Parade of the Planets' taken by Martin Lewis in Saint Albans, Hertfordshire, England, United Kingdom on 1st November 2017. Taken with Home-built 444mm Dobsonian Newtonian reflector ( Mercury used 222mm Dobsonian); Various IR filters for Uranus, Neptune, Mercury, Saturn (L). UV filter for Venus; Home-built Equatorial Platform; ZWO ASI174MC/ASI174MM/ASI290MM; f12 to f36. Runner-up of Planets, Comets & Asteroids cateogry in Astronomy Photographer of the Year 2018.
