An impromptu memorial of flowers is set up next to a pump at a Shell gas station in Kensington, Maryland October 12, 2002. Lori Lewis Rivera, 25, was shot to death by a sniper at this station. A sign reading "Thou Shalt Not Kill" has been attached to the vacuum pump that Rivera was using when she was killed. The sniper struck again Friday, bringing his toll to eight dead and two injured in the Washington area, police said Saturday, as fear gripped the capital's normally tranquil suburbs.
