Manuscript of a Quran in 142 folios. Written in ¦Rayhani¦ script (variant of ¦Thuluth¦) on polished paper (possibly of Chinese origin) in ten colors, some pages stippled in gold. Double frontispiece richly illuminated with elaborate borders of floral and leafy arabesques, medallions and cartouches enclosing rosettes and inscriptions in gold. Other pages illuminated in margins with floral medallions and Chapter Headings illuminated. Original leather binding with gold tooling, stamped decoration, elaborate central medallions decorating exterior and interior. Doublure and interior flap in filigree on blue paper
